The global supply chain for discrete semiconductor components, particularly MOSFETs and IGBTs, is undergoing a nuanced readjustment, exhibiting distinct regional trends. While overall market demand has recalibrated from the pandemic-driven peaks, inventory levels and distribution bottlenecks are creating a varied landscape for procurement professionals. Asian markets, leveraging proximity to manufacturing hubs and earlier inventory corrections, are generally seeing more favorable lead times for standard power MOSFETs and lower-current IGBTs.
Conversely, distributors serving North American and European industrial and automotive sectors continue to grapple with elongated lead times for specific high-current and high-voltage IGBT modules, as well as specialized SiC (Silicon Carbide) MOSFETs.
